💡 StrongLifts – paywall in What's New
Health & Fitness app with $100k+ in monthly revenue. The app is 11 years old!
What I find interesting:
- What's new screen is actually a paywall! Great way to sell subscriptions by visually showing how the product improves over time. Shows at app launch after update;
- Long scroll on regular paywall: features, trial reminder, lots of reviews. Price is only in the header and quickly disappears from view when scrolling. It's a little shady, in my opinion;
- There's a lifetime purchase; there's even lifetime with family access ($220!);
- "Sync Apple Health Data" button on onboarding. If given access puts defaults on height, weight, and gender.
💡 What I would improve:
I would've shown the features visually and tested the video on a paywall. I would also add personalization based on onboarding answers.
